20/ marks two decades of architecture from London practice Barr Gazetas.

Throughout the book, work was organised thematically rather than chronologically, making it easier to see connections between projects and ideas, and providing a clearer overall picture of the practice philosophy. Different grid layouts and paper stocks are used to differentiate each section — Materials, Elements, Transformation, Masterplanning, Future Work — while the practice profile and index of work, printed on a 24 page yellow section in the centre, enable easy navigation and cross-referencing while mimicking the strip of colour on the company business cards when viewed side-on.

Intended as both retrospective and forward-projection, the title, 20/, foil-blocked in striking blue on a yellow fabric cover, references Barr Gazetas’ history, while communicating the message that there is still plenty more to come!
